- Rest – Try and rest.
- Ice. – Use ice to reduce the swelling for approx. 48hours, ideally every couple of hours for about 15mins.
- Compression. An elastic bandage will help reduce the swelling, wear for the first 24 to 36 hour
- Elevation. Elevate you ankle above your heart level when resting ideally 2-3 hours a day, this will assist in reducing swelling and bruising.
Ankle Injuries could take somewhere between 6 weeks and 4 months to heal depending on how severe the injury was.
