elbow, wrist and hand pain

There are many reasons why you may be experiencing pain in your arm. If you are experiencing pain down the whole length of the arm or a large section of the arm unless there has been a direct trauma to the arm itself then it is likely that the pain is being caused by a neck or shoulder problem. Your physiotherapist will use their assessment and examination skills to identify exactly where the source of the pain is. This is extremely important when assessing pains in the arm. If your pain is more localised then it is likely that your pain is due to one of the following common conditions:

  • Tennis Elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
  • Golfers Elbow (medial epicondylitis)
  • Sports Injuries
  • Wrist Ligament Sprain
  • Scaphoid Fracture
  • Colles Fracture
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)

Physiotherapy is very effective in the treatment of all of these conditions and is often the first treatment of choice for doctors and consultants alike. The rehabilitation physiotherapists provide following fractures such as colles fracture or scaphoid fracture is essential to ensure full restoration of function to the joint and limb as a whole. We are the rehabilitation experts and we work tirelessly with our clients to enable them to restore the maximum achievable function and eliminate their pain completely.
