Richard Hulbert qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Bradford in 2006. He then moved back home to Bury to work in a local physiotherapist practice part time whilst continuing to study Masters level modules in chronic pain and therapeutic exercise at university.
In 2007 Richard started working with Bury football club and has done so ever since. During his time at the football club, Richard has worked with all levels of athletes at the club, from first team professionals to the 8 year old academy players.
In 2008 Richard took over the practice he was working at and turned it into the Active Physiotherapy you see today. Over the years Richard has worked with many different sporting people from professionals to amateurs in a range of different sports. It is this specialist grounding in sports injury that was the birthplace of Richard’s philosophy of asses, treat and prevent. Richard became aware very quickly that these were the things athletes required the most; accurate assessment, the best available treatment and preventing the problem from ever returning again. Now he uses the same approach with all his patients, giving you the same care as a professional athlete.
Richard enjoys working with people from all walks of life and helping them get back to where they want to be. He is experienced in the treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal problems and his patients tell of his fantastic results.
