The most common problems we see in the foot and ankle area in clinic are: Achilles Tendonopathy, Plantar Fascitis, Ligament Sprain, Severs Disease (Heel Spur) and Impingement.

Can Physio Help?

These conditions are often all treated successfully with physiotherapy input using a combination of manual therapy techniques, soft tissue massage and release, ultrasound, exercises, stretches, activity modification and biomechanical correction. Often these can be conditions that people “put up with” for a long time before having a physio assessment. Unfortunately this often leads to the problems becoming more chronic and secondary issues arising from altered biomechanics to protect the original injury.

For some conditions where heel strike, flat foot or a high arch is a problem some corrective insoles may be required. We have heel raises, off-the-shelf insoles (for pronation and supination) and semi-custom made insoles that we are able to dispense and fit directly in clinic. For more complex biomechanical issues we have a specialist biomechanics podiatrist that we refer to.

The treatment has helped the pain I had experienced after my car accident. It is now a lot better and the physiotherapist was great, he gave me exercises to do at home which has helped my injuries to heal a great deal. All in all a fantastic service start to finish. Thank you.
